Reduced to its Essence
Organic minimalism in ceramic form
There are moments in every creative process when forms begin to simplify. Details disappear, gestures become quieter, and what remains is only what is essential.
This ongoing series explores the intersection between organic form and reduction. Inspired by stones shaped by time, geological formations, seeds, and natural erosion, each piece seeks a state of balance where volume, shadow, and material presence become the primary language.
Modelled entirely by hand in black grogged stoneware and fired at 1240°C, these sculptures are conceived as objects of contemplation rather than utility. Their purpose is not to represent nature, but to evoke its quiet logic — the sense of growth, erosion, gravity, and permanence found in the natural world.

ORIGIN A sculptural reflection on birth, emergence, and the beginning of form.
Each work is an exercise in reduction: removing what is unnecessary while preserving character, tension, and presence.
The series remains in development, with every new piece refining this search for organic minimalism and essential form.
